I wasn't going to come here because one of the reviews indicated a touch of racism and I didn't want to reward that. But I pulled in looking for food first and of course I passed their store so I thought I'd do an experiment and I took my pictures before and I'm going to take some pictures after. I'm going to do this on a rating of more positive more negative as opposed to everything was completely good or completely bad. Leaning towards the positive people were polite. I was addressed as soon as I walked in I was told to pick out my color. I was asked was shape I wanted my nails in I was asked was things going well during the procedure where the shape coming out right was the color coming out right. I was taking care of rather quickly even though they already had some people there. I was offered something to drink. Leaning towards the negative it wasn't big things but after he clipped my fingernails they stayed sitting on the table that kind of bothered me I don't think it bothered him cuz he had put his hands in it and everything, but it bothered me I was wishing he would wipe them away. They also didn't put lotion on my hands but that may be because I didn't ask for that I just asked for a manicure. When I was sent to wash my hands there were towels there but I didn't know I was supposed to use them until the next person came up there and used the towels and also put them in a hamper which I didn't even see. I had to squeeze past people which I don't mind that so much but I think they could have their set up to where if somebody's going to be squeezing past let it be the two workers back to back let them squeeze past each other instead of the customer. In the area where you dry your hands there's nail polish on the table part which obviously somebody got some nail polish that's not the crime it just feels funny some part has paint and some part doesn't. I don't like that people are speaking another language not because I'm against that but because I don't know what they're saying I think next time I will turn my phone on to translator so I know what's being said. I do not think anybody was talking about me. I just don't like not knowing what's being said. I just don't like it in that type setting. Im not free to ignore it. I also don't like that the person taking care of me their hands were softer than mine and that's a little joke for Uphorie Ae. He knows i make jokes If I stop being lazy and get my hands done more often I will probably come back because it's convenient to other things that I get done around here. I came as a walk-in at 10:10 I left at 11:10 and it only cost me $20
This was my 14yr olds first experience at a nail salon and the lady listened to what she wanted, shorter almond shaped gel nails, with a pink base and glitter on top. They turned out super cute. Thank you A Plus Nail Spa in Raleigh!
My first time going was Monday. I was excited to try a new salon in the area. As I entered I was warmly greeted by a guy who seemed really nice and accommodating at first. I let him know that I wanted a French manicure with color. He kept having to stop while doing my nails to either answer the phone or greet a customer (in which I was patient about since they seemed to be getting busy and low on staff). As he began to do my nails I asked him if I would be able to pick out my color to add to the nail, he said to me that my French manicure looked better with white and proceeded to do my nails his way. When a white lady who sat across from me getting her nails done by another employee asked for a color he stopped doing my nails once again and picked out the color she wanted. I will never go back to this salon.
Shawn is WONDERFUL and understood the assignment!!! This place is very clean and all of the workers are very professional. This will be my permanent nail salon in Raleigh.
Came in for a nail fill and a color change. They were very personable and kind, offered me and my Husband something to drink. The nail fill was amazing the nails are very clean and smooth and the color is beautiful. Will be coming back ????
