The pho broth was flavorful and yummy, and their portion sizes are generous given the pricing, which is really reasonable (and less expensive compared to the newer Vietnamese restaurants that have more recently opened). Food came out relatively quickly. The restaurant itself is small, so I can see there being a wait during busy times, but it seems like tables turn over fairly quickly. Parking is ample but can get busy with various other eateries and businesses in the plaza.
Excellent meats and broth. Spring wasn't just loaded with veggies and taro. It was excellent fried to order so super crispy and HOT. Their house hot dauce is great addition for dipping. And adding to the last bit of broth left before slurping. Came for Chris Jerk take out for dinner next door and ate here for lunch. It was a great decision.
Banh mi cari de (goat curry with bread) was good, banh canh was wiered, com tam (broken rice with bbq meat) was great and had that smoky charcoal flavor. Gioi ga (Chicken salad) was fresh and crunchy. Gioi cuon (fresh rice paper spring rolls) was not up to the mark. I have family in Vietnam and have traveled there mostly to south innumerable times, so I know the food there very well.
Not bad but could be better! The bun rieu had great soup but barely any meat. They did give half a crab but it was very hard to get all the meat. The bun bo hue is on the spicier side but had lots of meat. The viet coffee was a bit disappointing, it tasted a bit too watered down. The whole restaurant was not very bumig and smelt a bit funky but the food was decent and it was quite busy.
Goat curry soup is a must. Mango salad too #30. Drinks are yummy. I got their red bean one before, Jackfruit with jelly and now durían slushy???? Unfortunately the owner lambasted an employee in public for all to see. Unprofessional and unacceptable. So unappetizing. That’s why the atmosphere rating is lower. Management needs to take note that it’s not good for business to display such behaviour.
