We've visited this place for several years, usually for a coffee before heading to the theatre. Of late, though, we've stopped in for a meal. Straight forward Italian fare, fresh salad, great coffee and a little bit of cake for dessert. It has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. The shelves are stacked high with olive oil bottles, tomato cans and piles of panettone.
I love this little café, they are always welcoming and the coffee is great.. The food is tasty, with a choice for those who are vegetarian, inviting and the little Italian pastries, just an indulgent taste without feeling guilty.. Whether it's a freezing day or blowing a gale and rainy, the atmosphere in there is always warm. The outside area gives you a wonderful view of the bustle of Brighton in all its glory..
Cafe Italiano is a small, cafe located in the heart of Brighton. I recently visited the cafe where I ordered a takeaway cheese and ham toastie and a cup of cappuccino to eat whilst watching the Brighton Marathon runners. The cheese and ham toastie was nice. The bread was perfectly toasted and the cheese and ham were melted together perfectly. The toastie was also very filling and I couldn't finish it all so saved it for later on! The cappuccino was also good. The coffee was strong and the foam was perfect! Friendly and attentive staff, so would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat and a nice coffee!
Really cute cafe, so glad we stopped by here! It's not right in the heart of the busy areas which is nice.. they had a huge selection of different stuff which was amazing. The girls working were so nice and friendly as well. Had eggs on toast - my GOD it was everything I had hoped it would be and more.. so tasty!
