This nail service makes me satisfied among the nail salons I have been to. The staff is always happy, friendly and does nails carefully and professionally.
I recently visited Cali Nails at 1511 81st Avenue in Merrillville. I will never go back. I was there to get a pedicure and manicure for my birthday. I asked for the $40.00 pedicure and was charged $55.00 for a no chip pedicure, which I didn't want. I hate that people who claim that they don't understand the English use it to take advantage and raise the price that was quoted. She also charged me $1.10 to take nail polish off, and to add insult to injury, the place is not clean, and the towels are dirty. I didn't let them do the manicure due to the overcharge on the pedicure. I wonder what the BBB and Indiana States Attorney will have to say. Get your nails and feet cared for at your own risk!!
I took my husband to get a foot massage and pedicure to Cali’s Nails for his birthday and this visit was not pleasant at all. I purchased the Milk and Honey Foot Pedicure for $50. My husband came back to the car disgruntled and I asked why? He pulled his shoes off and showed how the nail tech did such an unprofessional job on his feet! I went back in to speak with “T” (the owner of the nail shop) and he stated how the tech was done. I explained to him that his cuticles aren’t even done and he has old skin hanging from the side of his toes! His nails aren’t polished with a clear coat and for $50, I would at least think he’ll have oil or lotion applied to his feet and legs. I kindly asked if this could be fixed? “T” reached in his drawer, handed me $20 and said don’t ever come back again! I patronized his business for 6 months moving to this area from Chicago and referred three new clientele customers to his business. It’s a shame that I asked if this could be fixed and his resolution was to tell us to never come back. We weren’t disrespectful, irate or out of order and this was the FINAL resolution on how he (the owner) handled this! Please take your money else where because CUSTOMER SERVICE GOES A LONG WAY!
If i could give this place zero stars, i would. They only had guys who barely spoke english so communicating was impossible. This man broke multiple nails, didn't glue the tips on properly AND HE GLUED GEMS TO MY FINGER. Not my nail, my finger. And then charged me 75 dollars for the mess. It was such a messy job and when I asked him to fix it, he lazily tried to file the gems and glue on my skin instead of correcting his mistakes. Take your chances elsewhere smh.
