Mr. Chavas is always available and reliable, even when I am not at home, he helps me send the tow truck to transport our vehicles and we always know that he is correct with the billing. I highly recommend it. He and the guys who work with him are always excellent at fixing vehicles.

The owner is frequently absent, making communication difficult. Phone calls often go unanswered, and when they do pick up, the staff seems to lack information about your car, deferring to the owner who is not available. Your car may be held at the shop for months without any compensation for the inconvenience. It would be appropriate for the shop to take responsibility for their inability to fix a car and refund the customer so they can seek repairs from a more reliable source. It is highly recommended to avoid this shop, as the slightly lower prices are not worth the hassle and poor service.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of using Chavas Transmission Total Auto Care for car repairs, and I can confidently say I would not recommend them to anyone. If I could, I would give them zero stars. Initially, I brought my car in for a dual clutch assembly replacement. After receiving it back about a week later, the car was running even worse than before. I returned it for them to fix the issue, and they instructed me to order a specific part, promising to install it for free. However, this did not solve the problem and only made matters worse, with my car showing no signs of life. During the three months my car was at the shop, I was given excuse after excuse for the lengthy repair time. It became clear they were not being honest with me about the status of my car and made no effort to keep me informed. They ultimately never fixed the problem, and when I requested a refund, they initially agreed but later reneged on their promise. To make matters worse, when I finally got my car back, I discovered significant damage caused during the repair process, including chipped and scratched paint, a cracked headlight, and new dents. When I confronted the shop about the damage, they denied responsibility, claiming the damage was pre-existing – a statement I know to be false. In conclusion, my experience with Chavas was nothing short of a nightmare. Their poor communication, prolonged repair time, and dishonesty regarding the damage they caused make them entirely unreliable and untrustworthy. I am now out $1800 and need to pay another repair shop to fix what Chavas failed to. I strongly advise anyone in need of transmission repairs to avoid this establishment.

It’s frustrating that you spend so much money with a company and they can’t even pick up the phone … I would NOT recommend !

I would not recommend this business to anyone in Rutherford county. After taking my son's Subaru for a transmission repair and 2,200 dollars later and going back to the shop for 3 weeks after supposedly under warranty, picked up the car running worse than actually drop off for the shop..and when they pulled it out front had no transmission fluid in the car, and had to limp it back home push it in the driveway, So needless to say I have to make a call to the better business bureau and a call to my attorney to get my money refunded.. Will never visit this shop again and letting everyone I know not to go their, word of mouth travels fast.
