China Garden-4795 Fay Blvd #8, Cocoa, FL 32927 3 Stars So much is lost in translation within Chinese restaurants, that it often compels me to wonder why there isn’t just one person who speaks English well enough? My English-speaking server David, and China Garden is the answer to my silent musing. He is an exceedingly friendly fellow, who was also very helpful. I’m not here, left to wonder, if I’d heard him aright. My order consists of the standard baseline Chinese/ American cuisine, found in that of General Tso chicken, along with an appetizer of steamed dumplings. It bears mentioning that the General with dumplings are priced at $6.00 higher here, for the exact same meal one could procure at Yum’s Chinese (Merritt Island). That said, however, the superior quality offered at China Garden is certainly worth the $6.00 difference. Simply put, It’s just better. Bluntly, I’m not quite sure what the allure is about General Tso, but I will submit that at least herein, the chicken bites offered were of a fresh and plump variety. The confection of sweet syrup, with all its syrupy taste, is lamentably not good. The egg roll was larger in size and the dumplings were equal in proportion, in relation to the last place I visited, which honestly was a dump by comparison. I’d appraise this establishment as a big step up, hence the reason it rates 2 stars higher. Big Boy Says, “If you are in North Brevard, and are in a pinch for Chinese, so far, this is the best I’ve found.”
Love this food! If you have ?? sodium issues they are very accommodating if you just ask for low sodium. Everyone is very nice. I’ve been ordering the house special fried rice add egg and bean sprouts, so delicious ???? I have also ordered the moo goo no bamboo shoots and add extra bean sprouts low sodium. I will add pics next order
On 4-15-21 the food was incredibly delicious. My husband had chicken egg foo young and I had shrimp egg Foo young...very fluffy and large amount of chicken and shrimp. The gravy was delicious! Hot and sour was full of bamboo shoots in which my husband loves. The wonton egg drop soup was perfect for me... no flaws. Chicken and shrimp chop suey was full of many delicious vegetables and meats!!!! Plenty of condiments and white rice! Egg roll was okay but could have been better. The delivery young man Brandon was very friendly and interactive, I say kudos to that young man! We hope to have him as our delivery Man many more times. Also, my husband ordered teriyaki chicken on Stick which was perfect too.
Great meal, everything fresh and hot. Egg rolls were alittle boring they needed something more inside. All in all not bad. I shall return! I go now!
It was a delivery took one hour to get here. The food was cold and tasted old. I have had their food for years was so good but this time terrible. I called they wanted to reimburse me for the food.
