Colonial has been my favorite wash for about 10 years because it’s always been a superior cleaning compared to other places (which made the $8 basic wash feel worth it). Plus they seem to properly maintain their equipment and brushes. But recent experiences have been on par (at best) with other places. Notably, the pre-wash spray down has been pretty brief and the new dryers at the end leave a racing stripe of water down the middle of the vehicle. Last visit, the side and rear of my vehicle was far from clean and it has me wondering what changed. Hopefully they can make some improvements to get the quality of the wash back to what it was.
Customer service was outstanding. Bought the $20 wash which is now the standard in the industry for the best wash. Received a dash wipe with purchase. With older equipment I was surprised how well it did. Tire shiner was great on my tires. Also prep before you go in. Easy right off M5 so it works when I’m around.
Jim the manager doesn't keep his word. I had an issue with a broken windshield wiper blade. I never received the return call (after calling several times and speaking to him twice) he said I'd get. I will not return, ever! I was very pleased in the past and always tipped the students that work there. If my wiper was on, an attendant should have said to turn it off. They don't value me as a customer.
Good car wash , does great job of cleaning. But please take a look at the spin rate of your brushes as they are bit hard on my side mirrors .
Experience has declined in the last several months. While the rinsing has always been a bit stingy, the 'new' dryers are completely ineffective. Not only will you need to hand dry the entire vehicle stem to stern, it can't even get the hood or the roof dry. Even the windshield is so wet when driving away you need to turn your wipers on. Been going here since I first started driving (20+ years) and will be trying other car washes in the area for a replacement.
