I had my 63 Beaumont in for some custom work and the boys took excellent care of the car, did fantastic work on the repair needed and charged me a very reasonable rate for the scope of work being done. This morning October 26 2023 . I found myself in a tight spot while passing through Timmins, Ontario, eight hours away from home, with a flat tire. After being turned away by several big box name brand tire repair centers in town, I stumbled upon Dave's Tire Service, and it was an absolute game changer. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine kindness and understanding. I explained my situation to the staff, mentioning that I live in London, Ontario, and urgently needed help. Unlike the other big box stores in town, Dave's Tire Service didn't hesitate to assist me. Not only did they fix my tire swiftly, getting me back on the road within 45 minutes, but the level of customer service I experienced was unparalleled. The staff, from the person at the front desk to the technicians working on my vehicle, went above and beyond to ensure I felt supported and valued. Even though it's tire season and all the shops are busy, I was pleasantly surprised by the promptness and efficiency of the service I received. The team at Dave's Tire Service not only repaired my tire but also put it back onto my vehicle, demonstrating their dedication to providing comprehensive assistance. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Dave's tire shop, and I must say, it was one of the most frustrating encounters I've ever had with an automotive service provider. I brought my car in for a wheel bearing replacement and the guy came back saying that its the transmission. I trusted their diagnosis and went ahead and purchased a transmission. I booked to have my transmission replaced and at the same time, get a 2nd opinion, and I was informed that I did need the rear wheel bearings replaced and that my original transmission was perfectly fine…Once my car was fixed, at a different garage I went back to see Dave and get my money back, but I was told that he won’t do that. He would not reimburse me for their poor service and misdiagnosis. He did not want to help me with anything! Maybe I should have waited to buy a transmission and get a second opinion; however, I trusted him and his staff… that was a mistake too. Terrible service and I would not recommend anyone dealing with them as they are a SCAM.
