Dem Stush Jamaicans

Tried Dem Stush for the first time today (30 Sept. 23). I could’ve sat out in the parking lot for a good long time enjoying the smells coming off their charcoal grill! Smells great inside the shop too! Had 1/2 jerk chicken and 1/2 oxtail and it was fantastic. Grilling the chicken adds such huge flavour. Oxtail was tender, meaty, and delicious. I was warned it was a bit spicier than usual but it was a nice level of heat. Looking forward to coming back to try the jerk pork. Very tasty and filling. If you haven’t stopped in to try, you really should!! ????

I’m the guy that came by about a week and a half ago on Sunday. Dem Stush Jamaicans is by far the most authentic tasting Caribbean food I’ve had in London. I ordered half jerk chicken and half oxtail with rice and peas and coleslaw, complemented perfectly with two Jamaican patties. Each bite was a burst of flavor, with the jerk chicken perfectly seasoned and the oxtail melting off the bone. The rice and peas were cooked to perfection, and the coleslaw added a refreshing crunch. The Jamaican patties were flaky and filled with delicious savory fillings. I honestly felt like I was back home while eating, definitely will be returning! Phenomenal plate of food. I had a mixed plate of jerk chicken and curry goat with the rice and peas and coleslaw. Every bite was exceptional, especially the jerk chicken. The curry goat is fall off the bone tender and the curry sauce adds so much flavour to the rice when you mix it all up. These are huge portions, I tried to eat it all, I really did, but the rest is lunch for tomorrow. I wanted to add a picture but that would mean I’d have to wait even longer before eating the food and that wasn’t an option. The owner is so friendly, had great recommendations, and took her time to make sure that my food was right. It’s a cute little shop, definitely the best smell in the city! Easy 5/5. I knew I would like this place and it didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back soon!
