We visit Marion Illinois a few times a year. This was the first time dining here. We were greeted by a lovely person and seated.It felt like we were welcomed into their home. Freshly made chips and salsa were brought to the table We ordered drinks and guacamole. Again freshly made. The Chile relleno , seafood tacos and burrito entrees were delicious. We had a wonderful authentic meal. We will definitely stop by on our next visit.

My first time trying Don Sol Mexican Grill in Marion. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and served up hot. I had a Shrimp and Chicken Skillet, the vegetables were fresh, the chicken and shrimp cooked to perfection. Their salsa was delicious, full of flavor as was their guacamole. Some of the best guacamole I have had, perfectly seasoned. Definitely looking forward to trying more of their menu items. There is a big selection to choose from.

The theme here with the food seems to be more is better. Large portions do not make food better. They need to focus more on flavor it was fresh enough. It was just lacking flavor. However the raspberry margarita was packed with flavor and punch.

Overall, I believe this is the best Mexican place on Marion. There chips are delicious, thin, and crunchy salsa has so much flavor. Their cheese is very tasty. We have ordered G here multiple times and never had a complaint. Would definitely recommend
