Been going to this nail salon since they opened their doors nearly 20 years ago!! I see Jewel and she is always amazing! Creative, detailed and thorough. I love this place and will continue to be a great customer. Kevin also used to do my nails (the owner) and he is also great with acrylic nails.

I've been going to Jewel at Essential Day Spa for many years. I have gotten manicures and pedicures at several other nail salons, and without question, she is the best. Jewel clearly loves her job. She is creative and patient. She comes up with trendy nail designs and my nails last a long time. Every time someone sees my nails, I receive compliments. Although there are many nail salons closer to my home, I drive a great distance to go to her.   She also does a fantastic job on my eyebrows.

This place clearly doesn’t like me. Not sure if it’s unconscious bias or just their staff but after two attempts I won’t be back. First time I tried them the lady was rude and kept tossing my hand back. I figured it was her technique or just the way she did nails. She also kept asking me if I wanted GEL and when I declined, her attitude changed in a negative way. When she finished my nails they didn’t look fresh at all. Decided to give them another try (we all have bad days) the other day & it was just as horrible. Staff were rude, and they just didn’t do a good job or care to cater to my requests. I left knowing I wasn’t satisfied but when you’re a marginalized person of color we have to swallow it. My nails were just done and they look like they’re almost a month old. Over it!

Unprofessional would be an understatement. I was very disappointed. The first time I went one of the nail techs was yelling at her client and telling her to leave and the Client was just trying to explain what she wanted and the nail tech was acting like a maniac. The nail tech sits in first chair on left when you walk in. Don't ever go to her she is very unstable. Second time I went they overbooked I got there for a 5:30pm appt the nail tech I mentioned before checked me in told the nail tech I had an appt with that I was there and she never said a word she was doing pedicure then moved to her table to do a fill still never acknowledged that I was there. Then another lady came in for 6pm appt asking for same rep and I said I've been here since 5:20pm and she said she wouldn't be able to take me and asked if I could reschedule. She said the guy never writes down her appts. I said no and told her she just lost my business and that I would do a review letting others know how horrible and unprofessional they are...so if I were you I'd just find somewhere else to go.

Julie has provided me excellent service. She does my pedicures, manicures, refills, & eyebrow shaping and tinting. She does the best pedicure I’ve had. Highly recommended.
