What I love the most about Eva's besides the level of nostalgia that hits me everytime I walk through the door is the balance between breakfast and lunch. Most places, one of these choices is the better option. Here, both are equally amazing. Check 'em out. Sometimes the waitstaff get pretty busy, but be patient with them; you won't find a genuinely kinder waitstaff. You can ask your food be plated in a to-go container to save time if you wish. Food pictured: Turkey and dressing with cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, carrots, and peach cobbler. And fried chicken with macaroni and cheese, brown gravy over mashed potatoes, and chocolate whipped cream pie. And rolls.

I'll try again, but today was a disappointment not up to standards. The pancakes were fluffy yes but they were so thick and chewy I choked on them. I left them on the plate. The grits had no flavor and two mushy, sign of low grade grits. I asked for one piece of untoasted bread, it cost me $0.85. I can buy it for $0.06 at the grocery store, and it be a higher quality bread with some flavor not cardboard. So I was left with the country ham. It had some flavor, but it was cut paper thin which is not what you're supposed to do with country cured ham. I understand restaurants are trying to cut cost but this is not the way to do it by cutting quality. Something needs to change back to good standards or I will not continue being a customer. That's the downfall of cheapening things cutting corners not having good hospitality. One more chance that's it. This trip cost me $28 and half of the food was left behind due to quality.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Definitely a local favorite spot. Staff was friendly and service was good. Plenty of seating. The prices are extremely reasonable. I got 3 eggs, smoked sausage, hash browns, toast and coffee for under 8 bucks. Will Definitely be going back.

We waited an hour at our table for breakfast. The waitress brought our coffee. She came back to tell us that she was waiting on biscuits. Three families (who sat down after us) received their food, which included biscuits. We paid for our coffees and left. The waitress apologized . I was really disappointed.
