Went today for the first time. Small portions. Smaller than anywhere in Sudbury. Ironically, also the most expensive. The poutine in my photo is a large. Every other chipstand, that's a medium or even small. My $3.60 pogo still had to pogo logo on the stick. Nickel City Cheese chipstand has the best pogo's in town btw. Then, as you see, fish & chips is a small portion for almost $16. Soggy fish & fries. Won't be returning.
I mistaken this establishment for another one in Sudbury. I was looking for the fish and chip place that battered their fish not just regular coated. Overall the fish was okay, they only gave me 2 tarter sauce after ordering 6 pieces but that's my fault for assuming that I should've received tarter sauce for each fish I ordered. The poutine was okay fries could've been crisper to hold up to the thin gravy. Overall a cute place the customer service was excellent, but I'm still on the hunt for the battered fish
Ordered a 3 piece of fish and a poutine. The fish were tiny and the poutine was barely cooked. I don't usually post negative comments but the fish was shockingly tiny like the size average smelts. Was once a great place to eat. Disappointing.
Best fish and chips in town! I'm shocked to see any bad reviews. It is expensive, but worth the price. Lovely dry batter on the fish, so the fish doesn't get lost in thick crunchy batter. Never once received an order that was't perfectly cooked in all the years I've been going. Highly recommend.
This is the first time I write a review but felt compelled that I had to. We have gotten fish and chips there a few years ago and liked it. But this time it was cold, uncooked, fish, and fries. Fish was rubbery, not crispy at all. It tasted horrible. We tried to reheat in the oven and were still unable to eat it. We had to throw it out. Very disappointing
