so so so so good!! i would consider it one of the best chinese restaurants in the Vancouver area! i ordered three things, crab puffs, beef with broccoli, and hot and sour soup, all of which came out to about $27 after tip! i ordered on the phone for pickup and it was super easy to place the order the crab puffs are the perfect texture and taste along with the sweet and sour sauce that had a small dollop of mustard in it which was interesting but good! the beef with broccoli also came with a side of white rice which is included with the dish. the beef was nice and tender and the broccoli still had crunch even after sitting in steam for a little. they also included carrots which added a pop of color and more veggies! the hot and sour soup was good but not the best. in my opinion it tasted like there was a little too much vinegar in it and became super sour and a bit gelatinous??? but it was still super yummy and a good price for quite a large serving!! overall i really like this place, the service was amazing and the girl i spoke to on the phone was patient and super kind. 4.5/5 stars
Best Chinese food I've eaten. Smells good walking through the door. Tastes even better. We didn't even take a picture until we were done because we couldn't wait to eat.
Update Nov '23: They finally raised the prices ever so slightly. I am beginning to suspect this restaurant is sponsored by a Sino-American friendship fund. How else could the food quality, ample portion size and low price have been maintained? The only downside is having to choose which of the excellent dishes you will have. I eat here at least three times per week. Vegetable, chicken, shrimp all well prepared. To reduce fat and sodium, I asked for very little oil and very little sauce. They always prepare perfectly. The dining room is non-fussy, locally owned, been in business for years, Chinese motif. It just feels right.
Excellent food that is fresh and tasty, served in huge portions, with good pricing and many selections from which to choose. A real standout. If you're anywhere in the vicinity and have even a hint of getting some Asian eats, go straight here. You won't regret it. I can't wait for another opportunity to return.
The the food has changed since before covid when I was there last. The service was excellent and deserved extra tipping. The food however had such a "shrimpy" taste to every dish (no shrimp ordered). Unfortunately it was so overpowering I could not eat most of my food. I have a kiddo that has severe shrimp allergies so it's good to know that I will not be able to take her to that place. If you have no allergies and love shrimp then you could give it a five star. You do get large portions, it's affordable, is cooked well and has beautiful color. I just personally could not handle the shrimp taste
