expected atmosphere from a traditional chinese restaurant. it’s chaotic with loud chinese music, guests who are waiting for tables are just everywhere, and the food is what you expect. we came for dim sum on chinese new year and didn’t wait actually because we were a big group. the downside is at one point they straight up said the kitchen couldn’t keep up so dim sum came around somewhat slowly.

Had my aunt's 75th birthday party here. The managers are very nice. Spoke to Kevin and John. Both were very helpful and explained my options. When I wanted some changes to the menu they were very accommodating. They partitioned a section for us which created a bit of privacy. They have a basement that have private rooms. Nice space and food was good. Not too oily and salty. The service on the day of was very good.

Services were great. Food were good but slightly oily. The atmosphere is excellent but a bit noisy if you are not in their private room. However, good luck in finding parking since the area is very busy and many cars. The bathroom is decent.

Came here for Saturday brunch. It was packed after noon and had to wait for 20-30min. Full of local Chinese customers which shows it’s a good dim sum place. Ordered a bunch of different dishes and tried chicken feet for the first time in decades and enjoyed it very much. Don’t forget to order mustard and chili sauce! It accentuates the dim sum flavors. Reasonably priced. Recommend to come in more than 3 people and most of the dim sums are come in 3 and the more people the more variety you get to try! Staff only speak Chinese but you can point at what dishes you want as the cart ladies come by so not a big problem if you can’t speak the language

It’s my friend’s favorite restaurant for dim sum and banquets. So she took us to Golden City for dim sum. Although it’s a weekday lunchtime (Thursday, 08/18), it’s quite crowded in the dining hall. So you could tell that it’s a very popular restaurant. And my friend told me that there’s always a long line of people waiting outside on weekends. The restaurant has the dim sum carts pushed around the tables for customers to chose from the steamed or baked or fried or stir fried foods. You can also order something out of the menu, I think. The dining hall is so spacious that it can hold a big banquet or gathering of hundreds of people. The staff are all very nice and attentive. You will have to find a parking spot on the street, as it’s New York. The dim sum is definitely authentic! Everything is freshly prepared and very delicious.
