I usually love this spot for a quick drink or bite to eat. I ordered a medium rare steak, and it wound up being medium-medium well, which is a big deal for me. I was starving and didn't feel like sending it back and waiting longer for my meal. We'll be back to give it another shot, but this trip wasn't the best experience we've had here.
Went here after a hike and this place hit the spot. The food was delicious. I got the wings as an appetizer and they were big and tasted great. I got the wrap with onion rings. The wrap was tasty but the onion rings were even better they had a nice batter and were some of the best onion rings I tried. I also tried some of the buffalo fried chicken and the chicken was really good as well. If I make it back here I would order the fried chicken as a meal with a side of onion rings. I didn't try the dessert but it looked good on the menu. I also got to say I like the vibe of this place it has a rustic barn house interior and seems like it would be a lot of fun to come back to as a regular.
4.6 stars. I ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo and my wife ordered Cajun shrimp alfredo, and said there was 4 pieces of shrimp. My alfredo sauce was pasty compared to hers which was more liquidy (the way I like it). Alfredo sauce was also bland, had to add a significant amount of salt and pepper. Garlic bread was delicious. Mine came with a salad and it was basic iceberg lettuce, she had chili and it was very good. They didn’t have Mountain Dew so I couldn’t get my standard beverage but overall a good experience! Atmosphere is great! Like an old time saloon or mining camp, very cool.
Food was good. Will be back to try something different, the menu has lots of good stuff. Wait staff and atmosphere were very nice.
First time visiting here. My husband has been here many times when he was working. He suggested we stop for dinner on our way back from Normal, IL, where our kids ran a half marathon. I was surprised at the beautiful woodwork in the building. The whole place is beautiful. We didn't have reservations, but they had a table available for the 4 of us. My husband ordered his usual, the Black and Blue steak salad, I ordered the spinach salad with grilled chicken, my daughter ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap, and our other daughter just had bowl of chili. Our food was very good, our waitress was very nice and friendly, however, our food took very long to arrive. I'm glad we ordered an appetizer, too. The spinach and artichoke dip was very good. I'm not sure why the long time, perhaps not enough people working in the kitchen? We were going to stop at another restaurant in another town, but they are only doing carryout due to them not having enough workers. We would definitely visit Haydens again.
