Hayward Family Restaurant

We received this restaurant as a recommendation after our visit at the fresh after fishing hall of fame and they were correct. This restaurant was wonderful. We were immediately greeted with a warm and friendly manner and even though it was a busy Saturday we got a table right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive without being overly pushy. The food was phenomenal. The Mediterranean chicken sandwich wad very tasty and the BLT club was unlike any sandwich I've ever had. The bacon was top notch and cooked to the perfect texture. The cheesecurds were different than anything I've ever had and thats saying something. The had the crunch of a panko breading with the fry and consistency of a battered cheesecurd. If you are ever in Hayward I would reccomend giving this place a try.

Food was good - especially my soup. Fish seemed like it was fried in older oil, but not terrible. Service was decent - not very friendly or talkative/interactive. The greeter didn't smile or say anything as he sat us at our table. The atmosphere was your typical family restaurant. I will return.

This is a terrific place for a delicious friendly breakfast! Had the Hayward special with all three meats, hashbrowns and eggs, meats all nicely smoked. Really fast and friendly service! The place is a gem.
