Great pub with a fair range of well kept ales and well priced pub grub, ideal if you work up a thirst or appetite at the nearby Riverside Park.

The Hop remains a decent old school two bar pub, no fussiness but pleasant decor with experienced proprietors & good staff. Pleased pubs like the Hop still exist but need everyone to support them, once they're gone they're gone.

Lovely little community boozer with good ales on tap

We once visited this pub on one of our regular yet random ramblings. It has a very cosy and extremely traditional British pub feel. We only explored the lounge bar but it was delightful, almost like sitting in your nan’s living room. We’d certainly go back here as they have a great selection of beers on tap as well as lots of other drinks to choose from. Quite reasonably priced too, despite the current climate.
