It's not a bad place for a Sallisaw steakhouse. The food was pretty tastful! I ordered a Ceasar salad to start, the 10oz sirloin med rare, delicous brussel sprouts, and loaded mash potatoes. The chef really know what their doing back there. The Brussel sprouts were soooo good, cooked to perfection. Along with my juicy and flavorful steak. I would have rated higher if my server knew the menu and drinks better without having to leave the table to go ask. She actually knew nothing about the drinks because shedoesn'tt drink. Smh. They do have a bar but no drink menu nor have their drinks listed on the menu, which is odd due to there being a bar and them serving drinks. My server read off what drinks they have from their IPAD but couldn't tell me what the base of the drink was. Who doesn't like an alcoholic drink with a nice steak! I probably won't be coming here again. It's the little things and I like to go to places that make the experience comfortable.

Stopped in on my way back to Tulsa and glad I did. Good food, great ambiance and excellent service. Located in downtown Sallisaw they also have beer and liquor. Some of the best Brussel sprouts I've had. The hamburger steak was pretty darn good too. Check it out when you're down that way.

A wonderful new restaurant! Cool decorations add to the varied and delicious menu. Fried mushrooms to start. Yum! For dinner, I had salmon with mixed vegetables and mushrooms. Everything was cooked very well. The prices are reasonable! Come on in!

I had the pleasure of dining at J&D Cowtown Steak House in the charming town of Sallisaw, and I must say it was a delightful experience. As a self-proclaimed picky steak eater, I can attest to the fact that their steaks are some of the best I've ever tasted. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, each bite was a true delight. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch. The servers were attentive, friendly, and really made sure that my dining experience was as enjoyable as possible. They were on their game, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that I had everything I needed throughout my meal. One of the highlights of my visit was the live music provided by a talented guitarist and singer. His performance added a wonderful ambiance to the restaurant, making the evening even more special. Overall, I highly recommend J&D Cowtown Steak House to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Sallisaw. From the delicious food to the attentive service and enjoyable entertainment, this restaurant has it all. I will definitely be returning soon for another mouthwatering steak dinner.

This is probably the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Sallisaw. The food is cooked properly and is delicious . Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. To find a restaurant that’s this good in a country setting (in the middle of town) is a great surprise.
