Fantastic Dominican spot just down the street from The Heights Farmers Market. The staff were so friendly and took great care of us. I got salmon with white rice, beans and some of the chicken stew sauce drizzled on top of the rice with plantains and home made lemonade on the side. The restaurant recently has rebranded and remodeled and looks spectacular! Great atmosphere with ample seating in a light and airy space. This is a great spot to hit after doing your late morning shopping at the Farmers Market. I'll definitely be back soon. Even if you aren't usually adventurous, I guarantee you'll find something here that you love.

Spacious, delicious, and heart warming staff. I'm still making my way through all the land animals, but suffice to say Dominican flavors here are fire. I kid you not, I could eat their rice and beans for lunch and that would satisfy. You can choose less savory sides to balance your plate... But not me as evidenced by my photos. The neighborhood is on the up and up and they're fortunate to have La Bodega close by. Thankfully my office is close by too ????

I hosted a private birthday event at La Bodega and my guests and I had the best time. The food was great and the helpful service was sincerely appreciated. From idea to execution the owners made it easy and simple for me. If you need an event catered, and/or would like to host a private event, look no further. Separate from this event and their lunch/dinner menu, I’ve passed by specifically for their avena (oatmeal) (which is the best comfort morning food you could have), and yummy empanadas when I’ve needed a little snack.

Great food and great environment,honest , Dominican food gourmet style, without getting bankrupt.A great gastronomic experience at Jersey City hights,great variation of authentic Dominican food,also espresso,or cafe con leche, and some traditional Dominican sweet afterwards,Our servers, Neal and Genesis went above and beyond to help to have a great lunch experience at this great place. Good relation quality of food and prices, Highly recommend it, doesn't matter your background,this food is great for everyone!

Got the monday chef's special oxtail, which comes with rice and beans, and was delicious!!! Also got half a pound of chicharrones, also delicious. The service is nice also:)
