Ordered a red blend wine and this pizza, which seemed to be goat cheese and artichoke hearts on a lavash-like crust. Both were outstanding! We noticed this place is very busy at night.
A rather old pub-like style of a restaurant and atmosphere is cold. The lady that runs it or serves there, lacks hospitality. Shame rather as this place is nicely located in the nicer part of the city. They have a nice range of wines, mainly German, but we did not get a chance to order any as it was lunch time. The Flammkuchen is mediocre although the Spetzel was nice and creamy.
We were served warm food, but without "cutlery". We politely asked one of the 2 servers. She probably forgot. Ok. We politely asked the 2nd server and politely informed her that probably the 1st server forgot. We were stunned to learn that we are not the only ones in the restaurant. And then, we were shocked because we were denied cutlery. We were told our Flammkuchen is cut into smaller pieces, so there is no need for the cutlery. We insisted (naturally). And we finally got the cutlery. There was a lot of sarcasm for one evening, which ruined the beautiful experience Lübeck offered throughout the day. Star only for the food (Good Flammkuchen, fair-priced items in the menu).
Cozy place to enjoy a glass of wine. Not that big a selection of wines, but prices are fair. Service is good and staffs are friendly. But be prepared that people are smoking.
very nice place, although even the non-smoking area is not completely smoke free. Unfortunataly, an unfriendly waitress ruined the evening.
