Walking in, you can feel the friendliness of the place. It is a small, very clean "hole-in-the-wall" type place. They serve both Carolina (vinegar based) and Lexington (vinegar with tomato). I'm not a fan of vinegar based sauces, but my husband liked it. The part of the bbq without sauce was delicious, and I wish I had gotten it without sauce. I got the plate that included coleslaw, baked beans, and yummy hush puppies. My husband enjoyed his salad that was topped with lots of chopped bbq The staff wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal. They were engaging, among where we were coming from and where we were headed... wishing us safe travels. We would definitely come back. Do note : they are a cash only establishment, so go prepared to pay cash.
On a trip to NC for a wedding, stopped in on a whim 30 mins before closing. Staff and patrons were friendly and down-to-earth. Food was excellent! Old school charm and great folks. Will return.
Food was ok I mean I can make a better cheese burger at hm lol staff was friendly it was my first time going there I won't be back the food wasn't impressive enough.
They don't have any clue what BBQ is. One sauce and is extremely vinegar based. They also put slaw on sandwich which I can't eat and nothing says they do that. Pricing is high. Cash only and fries are like little hard sticks . So my jumbo sandwich plate was basically not edible and they offered no resolution. Beware
Fairly solid Carolina style pulled pork. Meat was a bit on the dry side. Hush puppies were good, sides were alright.
