Unexpected little gem right inside the hospital doors. We had the fish n chips, pepper steak stir fry and asian salad. Very yummy and very reasonable. Highly recommend.
I've eaten breakfast a couple of times and it's always good. We're thinking about trying dinner tonight since my husband has an appointment. Told some friends of mine about it and they've already eaten there twice for lunch. They didn't even have appointments. They raved about it also.
We decided to try the Lobby Grille inside the hospital after reading so many good reviews. It felt slightly weird going inside the hospital for the express purpose of lunch, but it was well worth it. They have a large selection of apps, pizzas, calzones, entrees, and desserts. They also have a full case of bottled drinks, a soda fountain, coffee, salad bar, and so much more. Order at the computers when you enter, and grab a number to take to your table. Once your order is submitted, browse the add ons like bottled water, tea, soda, or build your own salad. Proceed to the cashier, give them the name on your order and your add-on items. My husband and I ordered the jalapeño cheese tater tots, loaded fries, and the beef tips. I also got a soda, and the total for everything was only $28. The staff were very nice and helpful and our food came out very quickly. We brought our computers so we could use the wifi and get some work done, and the network was quite fast. The food was really good. I am giving 4 stars for the food, because my fries were a little soggy. Loaded fries have to be extra crispy since the toppings will make them kind of mushy, so the fries could have used a little more crispy crunch to them. All in all, very impressed and definitely worth a visit if you are in the market for a quick, inexpensive, delicious lunch!
Hands down, for the value, the best restaurant locally. The fish and chips are good and the bison burger is excellent. My fourth meal, a slightly spicy pork street taco, was an amazing value at $1.38. Get over the location inside the hospital and try it. You won’t be disappointed!
Food itself is decent for a hospital cafeteria. However, all of the hot food is served in cheap plastic containers and then left under heat lamps to allow the toxic plastic to seep into the food before you eat it. Outrageous that a hospital would have such little disregard for the health of their staff and their patients, unless they are trying to secure more sick patients in the future. Wake up MRH, it’s 2023, we all know the harm caused from ingesting plastic!
