Had a wonderful date night here. The restaurant itself is very cozy, and the decor is nicely placed. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and we were seated right away. We started with the raw oysters, which were very fresh. The cocktail sauce had some great taste to it. Then we moved on to the whitefish dip. Wonderful creaminess and robust flavor to it. The bread that came with it was fresh and was toasted to perfection. There was so much dip that we could have used a little more bread, but that wasn't a problem at all. For the main, we got the steak frites. The chef prepared the steak exactly as we asked, medium rare. The hanger steak was tender and flavorful, and the sauce was strong. The fries were

Lost At Sea is a cozy restaurant with a charming vibe, making it a good destination for a date. Seated at the bar, we embarked on a culinary journey that exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, warranting a solid five-star rating. The chef's bold approach to cooking resulted in dishes bursting with flavors that left a lasting impression on our palates. The outstanding whitefish dip was noteworthy, a true gem that elevated our dining experience to new heights. However, we hit a snag with the clarified Old Fashioned. Despite its intriguing concept, this cocktail fell short of expectations. Devoid of its quintessential bourbon essence and overwhelmed by excessive sweetness, it failed to capture the timeless allure of an Old Fashioned. The bartender attributed the sweetness to an "illusion in my brain," which perplexed me. It was a disappointing choice that left me nursing a hangover the next day. Despite this minor setback, the staff remained attentive and courteous throughout our visit, contributing to the overall warmth of the experience. GO!

my 2nd time here and the 2nd time they did not disappoint! I got familiar plates for the appetizers but tried the chorizo dish for the first time for the entree. delicious! at first glance it felt it was a bit lacking as it was just the sausage on a small bed of pureed vegetables but it was so delicious I was quite satisfied with that ????

This is one of the best places to eat in Long Beach, by far. It’s a cozy spot— about as small as it looks on the outside. The atmosphere is warm, almost like a memory from a cabin trip in the Catskills with your family as a child. Upon first glance, one might not predict the kind of meal you’ll have here. That being said, I’ve never had a bad meal here. If you’re into oysters, always get two of each. The Caesar salad is a must-order as well. The exceptional quality of the ingredients is always enhanced by Chef Alecia’s masterful, yet playful spin on her dishes. Steve’s textbook knowledge of wine and cocktails is definitely worth one of their few bar seats. Overall, this is fine dining served in a lake house living room, complete with the warmest service and surprises in every corner. Call ahead as reservations are hard to come by, and, as always, tip generously!
