Trash laying everywhere, one bench to sit at over at the splash pad area, no parking so you walk across a busy street. We had a city worker who could carless and blew past my 3 year old and husband while they were walking across the street blowing his horn at us. He is extremely lucky he was driving fast enough I didnt catch his plate number on the buisness truck. Not very impressed with charleston at all, to find a nice park with a splash pad that is still open labor day week.
We were there for the 4th of July fireworks it was a very beautiful show they put on and the playground had plenty of kids on it and they had a ball
Quaint little park; sidewalks are fairly stable and clean. Cute chalk drawings adorned the concrete. I went for a quick rollerblading adventure while stopping over in the city. Nice views of the river; lots of boats were out that day.
The pictures on Google were definitely deceiving because it was probably taken when the park first opened. It has since been abandoned and forgotten. Not kid friendly, very dirty, and unsafe. Posting this so others know the current condition of this place so they don't make the same mistake we did. It was a complete disappointment and would certainly not recommend it.
Great little playground, splashpad, and trails by the river
