One of my favourite pubs in the city. Best Guinness hands down. Great ambiance and friendly staff.
Myself and my cousin (who is living in Toronto most of his life) went here today and were refused service. The barman(who was Irish) informed us that the owner (who is from Limerick) had instructed him to serve NOBODY unless they are “regular” customers in the bar. Not even a soft drink was possible. I’ve been in Irish bars all over the world and was never refused because I wasn’t from the area. So folks….avoid this kip of the highest order if you’re thirsty in 27 degree heat. We went next door to Gabby’s (which is not Irish) and had great pints of Guinness and great food.
Great service, friendly staff. Enjoyed the music Andy had chosen It chose mcmurphys but we were actually next door at Gabbys
Small, but friendly spot. A lot of Irish regulars, but you don't have to be Irish to feel welcome. Some of the best dart players in the city play out of this spot. Prices are very reasonable.
I was not impressed with the overweight red-head who worked behind the trough. I am Irish and my friend is Sri Lankan. I couldn't help but feel she judged him. Her response to our saying goodnight was one of visible displeasure.
