Alright, y’all. I don’t usually write reviews bc hey. People have bad days. But please avoid this place at all costs. It is a health risk and just the worst. I’ve tried it twice. First time they pulled out a dirty towel for me to put my hands on — it had dried nail polish on it and flecks of someone else’s nails. Then he pulled out unsanitized tools (not even in the vacuum bag — just dirty tools in his basket). I was pretty grossed out so I excused myself and left. That was about a year ago. Last week I thought I would try it again just to have them change my gel polish from another salon. The countertop was sticky and covered in grease, the woman pulled out a dirty towel (again), but I still let her remove the polish. She used a really aggressive looking attachment on her dremel tool on my natural nails, asked me to dip my whole fingers into a bowl of acetone, and alternated between grinding off the polish and re-dipping into the bowl. She wore my nail bed down so thin that when I put my hand in the led light to cure the base coat of polish, it felt like someone had poured acid on my fingers. My nails are paper thin and were nearly completely removed down to the skin. The reddish parts of my fingers are where there is barely any nail left. The place is always empty and I have no idea how they are still in business.

This was 2nd visit to Midtown Nail Spa. A few suggestions to the management. 1. Please have your water lines checked. The water placed in my foot tub and the tub next to mine smelled of sewer. It was not a faint smell. There is no way that the nail technicians did not smell it. 2. When advising customers that you have availability for a pedicure service, please give them an idea of how long they will wait. We sat waiting with our feet in water for 40 minutes. That is inconsiderate of a customer's time. 3. Acknowledge your customers. The nail technician DID NOT speak to me the entire service. I was not expecting a conversation but a simple hello, thank you for waiting, would you like a drink (that is listed on your menu), would have been appreciated. Simple courtesies go a long way. I would not recommend paying $60 - $70 for a pedicure based on my experience.

I hate to complain but I paid $60 to get a full set of acrylic nails. The guy cut my finger and it is actually bleeding. He didn’t do a great job shaping the nail or cleaning up the nail polish. I very disappointed, I will probably go back to my previous nail salon on Wake Forest bc it is worth it the drive. I am adding that he made me feel uncomfortable with his comments about Brazilian women and how they are attractive and other things he said, I basically felt that he was hitting on me.
