What an absolute Gem. Needed somewhere to stop on route for NYE get together. Quick message on FB and confirmed our stop, offered EHU for a few quid but didn’t need it, nice touch though. Glad we stopped on a Friday as the Pizzas were amazing and great value. 3 Ales on, 3 Ciders, 2 Lagers so good selection of drinks. Can recommend the HPA ???? This place should be on the must do list for the UK let alone locals. The food, the service, the atmosphere is just amazing. Quaint and very fun pub filled with friendly locals. Just fantastic, owner is great fun too!

Popped in on way home from a hike. Lovely traditional country pub. Great beer, Landlord and locals so friendly. If you're walking near Mitchell's Fold or corndon. Pop down the bank and call in... You won't be disappointed ????

Went for a few drinks whilst on holiday.. can honestly say the nicest pizza we’ve ever had! Staff were pleasant and friendly! Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent start to a weekend in nearby Pontesbury by spending a few hours at this fine watering hole on the border with Wales on a Friday afternoon. You won't believe a pub in the middle of nowhere would be so popular!!
