New Spiceland Restaurant & Bakery

This place serves Sri Lankan cuisine (similar to Tamil cuisine in India). Ordered the mutton curry, squid curry, fish fry and coconut rice rolls. The food is tasty if you are into spicy food - but ofcourse it’s quite rich and oily. They have different portions available and the pricing is reasonable. The place is quite popular but if you’re new there you might struggle to understand what each item is because they don’t have the items labelled - God knows why! But you can wait for someone to come to your side of the counter or simply use the ‘excuse me’ technique.

My purpose for visiting Spiceland Restaurant was to explore their pre-prepared food selection. However, by approximately 6:30 pm, the dishes they had on display seemed noticeably diminished. In comparison to some of the other Sri Lankan fast food takeout establishments I've frequented, the choices didn't appear as tempting. As a result, I made the decision to forgo the food options available at that time.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the place is clean and well lit. No sit-down, only takeout. A large variety of choices to choose from. Due to the good food, they have a long wait to get served. See the 12 pictures.
