I was having some issues with my car. Did some research, then took it to Norm's. They came up with the same answer I did. Luckily it included parts they had on hand and they were able to fix it right away. Spent a morning at the shop, got it fixed, bthe guys were nice, and the price was reasonable.
Great experience - got us back on the road within hours after our car's thermostat failed. Really good communication and fair price. Highly recommend
It was fine for a mechanic in the city. They don't try to upsell you or spin a tale. But they also ask kind of dumb questions like "do you want full synthetic or blend"? Just put whatever the manufacturer recommends. I am not going drag racing with my Rav4.
The mechanics did a poor job of checking the car for safety prior to a long road trip. Paid $1300 over 2 visits & still was left walking days later. We came in for the battery to get checked out & they did nothing to check the connections, clean the terminals, etc. Left it exactly the same. Told us we should consider a new battery before a trip in a month. Additionally they charged us an outrageous price for 2 axles - double what it shouldve cost for these parts. A few days later the car wont even run - needs a battery right this moment - left me stranded & in a stressful situation. I called to ask a few questions & the guy was rude, interrupted me repeatedly & refused to answer my questions or be helpful in any way. I think the management changed because they used to do good work. Now I feel ripped off & have had the car in the shop way too often because the problems arent getting addressed right the first time!
Norms is a fantastic car shop. I tried a closer place (with 4.8 star reviews) once, and 100% regretted it. I've had my car at Norms for routine maintenance and surprise issues several times since 2016, and they have been quick to fix issues and IMO are very honest about the problems. These guys are awesome, and I think very honestly, and the cost is reasonable. I grew up around my Uncles mechanic shop and this place reminds me of it so much too.
