this little steakhouse is a gem. simple, down to earth, and straight to the point. you pick your steak, how you want it cooked, you get a salad, toast, and a baked potato. that’s it, done deal. and they do all of that just about perfect. the steak was delicious, nice flame taste with a gentle bit of char, cooked just how i asked. the price is right as well so don’t miss out if you are nearby.

I've been coming to this location for repeating small sirloin steak medium salad and baked potato. this week, over 25 years, best steaks in the southeast. 11-08-2023. Sorry to hear about the owner. His son is taking over from the cooking the stakes with delicious tonight.

In town for the week working at Columbus AFB. This place was recommended and I was told to ignore the decor and how the place looked. A full parking lot gave me the first sign the place is a go to. No host available which means you will have to find your own seat (good luck with that) Menu has only steaks on them, no pasta, no fish, no chicken. That means you won't be overwhelmed with multiple options. Salad, steaks, baked potato and a drink. It shouldn't take you very long to decide what you want. Flavor was awesome and the steak cooked to perfection. I hope to come back soon. They earned my business! By the way, their steaks are better than any other big chain steakhouse.

This place was recommended to me by a few friends. So, I decided to try it; I came with friends on Saturday night, we waited in line for bout 20 mins. The service is outstanding and the staff is very friendly. I ordered a large ribeye, it comes with a baked potato, garlic bread and salad. The steak is delicious, the potato and garlic bread were average, though.

If you ever find yourself in Columbus Mississippi for a Bulldog game or family weekend you must check out one of the best steak houses in the state. Probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in years and I LOVE Steak!! The Old Hickory Steak House is filled with great history, rustic wood tables, steak, potatoes, and beer served in mason jars. The Best!!
