Traveled from KY to San Diego for work, and midway through our visit we found ourselves struggling to find an establishment that accommodates the grown & sexy crowd and had a chill kind of vibe...until we found the Phantom Lounge. OMG!!! The atmosphere offered an unbelievable experience in a safe and cozy environment. The DJ was ???? with the R&B/hip hop spins, the hookah was tasty, and we found ourselves amongst other black patrons of various professions!!! The GM extended the kind of southern hospitality we expected to find at the handful of other establishments we visited, but were only met with disappointment. The bottle service ladies definitely did their thing and the GM frequently checked in to ensure our good time!! We couldn't have asked for more!! We visited the Phantom Lounge on a Thursday, which just happened to be their Black Business Mixer night. We were fortunate enough to meet some giants in the San Diego communities and truly fell in love with their missions!!! Who would've thought we'd even develop a network of our own?!? This place is a remarkable hidden gem that is the perfect spot for an older crowd wanting to stay away from common foolishness, and is perfectly situated in the heart of the gaslamp district. It's safe, has amazing vibes, and is genuinely welcoming at its core.
