This is a free fountain in the historic park. The fountain is indeed shaped exactly like a pineapple. You'll almost certainly be waiting in line for a photo if you visit on a Saturday. That said, it's a very well sculpted fountain and worth your time to visit. The waterfront is next to it where you'll likely be able to see dolphins and a nice sunrise if you get here early enough.

Neat little walk on the pier. We saw dolphins, the bridge, and the aircraft carrier across the river. Also, you can see Fort Somter. Walk a little more to see the pineapple fountain. It's a cool area.

It was a beautiful place to walk around. Must be nice to watch sunrise or sunset here. We would love to come back in the fall or spring. It's too hot but we still enjoyed our visit.

This is a very beautiful fountain. I want to look at him and look at him. I think this is the main attraction of the city. Nearby there is an embankment with a large swing, another fountain, where there is also some information about the history of the city, and a water taxi stop. From the embankment you can see a beautiful bridge on the other side. We parked on the next street, it was close. I recommend visiting this place!

The Pineapple Fountain is a must see for anyone coming to Charleston. The fountain represents restoration and hope. After Hurricane Hugo hit, the fountain was opened to the public to show everyone that the Waterfront Park wasn’t going anywhere despite the natural disaster. I think seeing it at night is a little more dazzling because you’ll see it all lit up. It can get very crowded during the day but you also wade in the water on a nice day.
