Parking was £6 for I think 3 hours, or £10 all day, the machine is coin only and no card payments. Great location, we managed three hours parking and we walked all the way down to the sea, we sat and took in the views and we walked back popping in shops and we had time to spare on parking. If you plan on stopping for a meal or drinks in the village, then you would need more than three hours. Plenty of local gift shops, including jewellery shops and cake shops, to browse in Polperro.
Appalling carpark, cash only, change machine but only from notes to coins very expensive and signs all over the place saying how it's illegal to give someone your ticket??? just seems crazy, disabled spaces are the same as normal spaces, no extra width for access just yellow paint instead! In its defense a weeks charge is fair. But everything else feels like a blatent rip off, just makes you feel like you are an unwelcome visitor. No real alternative, I just hope the money goes towards town maintenance and not a private company. Also toilets in the area are all 50p to use. Would of given 2 stars if they accepted card. Who carries a minimum of 6 pound coins on them these days? This car park really makes you feel its just not worth visiting the area.
CASH ONLY! A rather expensive car park at £6 for 3 hours, making this the most expensive car park we have found so far in Cornwall. To note - April 2024, it's only accepting CASH. ( it's also gone up by a pound in 1 year ) It's also quite a walk to the actual harbour itself, however, this is the only car park we managed to find, so we had no choice. It is rather large and does hold alot of cars and coaches. Toilets are nearby at a charge of 50p for entry, again cash only. It does get VERY busy in summer at the weekends.
Cash only which is surprising considering how expensive parking is here. Decwnt sized car park though, and luggage taxis available if staying in the village. Come prepared with plenty of change as it's also 50p for a wee at the public loos in the village.
Total rip-off parking (six quid MINIMUM??). Polperro itself is a pretty harbour surrounded by 'galleries' and tat shops, and even the public loos cost 50p to get in. Very, very disappointed. Save your cash and go to Looe instead. Much cheaper parking, better shops and free bogs. Thanks, Polperro, we won't be back.
