After 6pm, one free bun if you spend $10. Two buns free if you spend $20. I often eat down the block at Chef Hunan and never knew there was a bakery here. If could be because I come after the sun has set. The buns I got tasted OK. Nothing special.

This is a specialty bakery and my parents have gone here over 30 years. I believe it is family owned. As a child when I lived in San Francisco and Daly City, we would go in, there would be elderly gentlemen sitting around the table, drinking coffee, talking (gossiping), laughing and having a good time! The employees were and have always been friendly. I am in my mid 30s now, so since the age of 2 my parents used to special order me their banana cake that was just the top of the cherry to me for my birthdays. They also have specialty desserts that I have not seen in any other bakeries before .

Small bakery that knows exactly what it is - it sticks to its classic products and executes them perfectly. You can tell that the tarts and other goods taste just as good today as they did 30 years ago. Friendly staff (and customers!). Cash only. Parking right in front is a challenge, so use the side streets and walk a block or two.

Been going here for like forever! It has reinvented itself now to a gambling den pretending to be a bakery Wondering how the bead tastes like compared to bread?

Princess Bakery has really stepped up their pastries game since the remodel. I really enjoy their eclairs and their wonderful fruit tarts. Their traditional Chinese cocktail buns are really tasty as are the egg custard tarts. Also their coffee is quite underrated here in Excelsior, probably as good as Excelsior coffee's drip or Cumaica's.
