Went up to the loft space for a CAT CLUB event. The music was unbelievable in smallish upfront & personal space. Drinks were a good price and the pub had a great atmosphere.

On arrival the landlord gave me a guided tour. Really nice regulars in a comfy setting, log fired in the winter months with a good selection of beers to choose from. There are live bands entertaining during each month with tastes for all kinds of music. Nice start to the night when visiting Ropergate or a snug afternoon tipple, definitely one to go to!

Friendly, thriving pub with lovely staff and a great selection of beers. My pictures show the large upstairs room, where we attended a book launch by local author and TV presenter Ian Clayton. Excellent facilities

Came for brunch today with family and it was delicious, the pancakes and French toast are incredible, lovely coffees and brilliant service and staff ??????

Visited the Pub for the first time 29/10/23 to attend a live music event upstairs in the attic which is the Cat Club. Michael Messer and Chaz Jankal did a fantastic acoustic set of songs. The Pub itself is a really lovely place inside with a great selection of beers and the staff are very welcoming and friendly to everyone. The Cat Club is great and the venue is very atmospheric, friendly and fun. The live sound is absolutely excellent. I would recommend this lovely pub and music venue to everyone who loves a proper pub and loves live music.
