The food I had yesterday was terrible. I used to order from this place faithfully, oxtails, rice & peas with steamed cabbage and it was amazing. Idk if they’re cutting back on the seasonings or what but it’s not like it used to be. My food was bland, all but the yams. The baked Mac had a hard piece of cheese on top that felt and tasted like cardboard and was burnt. There was barely any peas in the rice and the stew chicken was flavorless as well. Disappointing. Will not be ordering anymore.

Thursdays December 21 2023 my first time at this rusty flavor in Harlem, wasn’t the best experience at all, first off the customer service was bad the food was nasty. I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas. The rice was hard the chicken was cold and it was drowning in jerk sauce. Honestly if you are Jamaican or West Indian and want to run a restaurant business please get good chefs don’t try to do it your self thinking you can cook.

To pay $55 for two medium oxtails & a small tray of shrimps and for it to be old and nasty was a disappointment. The shrimps taste like you was eating paper because it was completely overcooked. To think it looked good but looks are always deceiving. The oxtails were dried out & sweet I've never had oxtails like that. My son didn't even want to taste it & he loves oxtails. The rice shook me up, it was as if they let water sit in the middle since part of it was mushy & the other parts were hard. It was a waste would never eat here again. Hard pass

The food here is incredible. You’re definitely not coming to sit down or for the atmosphere and the service can be a little off sometimes but the food is always incredible. The oxtail pasta is one of my absolute favorite meals and I have to have it at least once a week.

I got Chicken Rasta Pasta small/medium for $15 on June 30th, 2023. The food was great but this is a 24-hr corner spot in the middle of busy bars and locals parlaying on the corner. So expect some wild personalities to be waiting in line with you. Thank god there are two layers of glass blocking people from spitting over the food as they shout their orders lol.
