I went here with 2 of my girlfriends, so that's 3 of us in total, and we had a good experience! We called ahead of time and booked a reservation for 8:30pm. Thank god we did because it was packed! We came here to try the Free Range chicken hot pot, and it did not disappoint. It was my first time trying it, and I absolutely love the broth. It was light, but it was still very flavourful. We then added spinach and glass noodles to soak up the soup. If you're not a huge fan of picking at the chicken bones, I'm not sure if this dish is for you. I have friends who just don't like doing the work to eat around the bones. The other dishes outside of hot pot were delicious. I absolutely loved King mushroom with Japanese tofu - I basically ate it all myself. And the crowd favourite was the beef with rice in a stone or clay pot. In total, we got: - Whole free range chicken hot pot - Spinach and glass noodle add-ins - Beef with rice in a hot pot - King mushroom with Japanese tofu - (1 beer) It was about $40 per person! I'm definitely going to come back here again and try more of their rice and stir fried dishes!

I would say this “Seafood Restaurant” is not only famous of deli seafoods dishes but also has tasty Cantonese food like Chicken Hotpot cooked with Traditional Chinese medicine and comes with its secret dip source, which is my favorite order. Great dining place with friends and family, highly recommended and don’t forget make a reservation before you come. Happy New Year ;)

I understand this is quite a popular restaurant and my review may not fit in with the rest. I felt the food was extremely subpar specially for the price. The price is not in line with the quality of the food. Now, I probably didn’t get the best experience from this restaurant because we weren’t in the mood for hot pot, so we did not try the dish for which this restaurant is known. It is possible Sang’s Great Seafood is a one trick pony and anything other than the hot pot is going to miss the mark. That was my case. The atmosphere was actually pleasant with lots of young university students eating hotpot while socializing. We ordered the Cantonese Chow Mein, garlic broccoli, and tofu with mushrooms. The chow mein was too wet, even though I specifically asked for crispy noodles. The broccoli was the best dish. The Japanese tofu deep fried was ok too but nothing mind blowing. I might try to come back here for the hotpot but I wasn’t very impressed with my first time. Note worthy is the fact I saw some small insects crawling around the table. It’s possible they infiltrated the restaurant from outside since we sat close to the door which was wide open, but it’s just not something I want to even think about when I sit down to eat.

A friend of mine once recommended this Cantonese-style chicken hotpot to me. After eating it, my family and I agreed that it was the most authentic we have eaten outside of Guangdong, China. It is also cheap and there is an indoor parking lot nearby.

Sang's Great Seafood Restaurant, located in the heart of Chinatown at 343 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 2G3, is a culinary haven for those craving delicious hot pot. This Chinese restaurant is known for serving exceptionally flavorful dishes that will leave your taste buds in awe. One important tip to keep in mind is to always reserve a table in advance. This place is incredibly popular, and without a reservation, it can be challenging to secure a table, especially during peak hours. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this culinary delight. During my visit, we indulged in the Chicken Hot Pot with Chinese Herb Soup, specially prepared for three people. In addition, we ordered the Preserved Meat with Rice in Hot Pot and the Tofu Casserole. The portions were generous, and the flavors were simply outstanding. By the time we finished devouring all the food, including every last drop of soup, we were completely satisfied and pleasantly full. Speaking from personal experience, the Chinese Herb Soup, particularly the black chicken soup, is not only incredibly tasty but also believed to be beneficial for women's health. It's important to note that this perspective is personal and not from health professionals, but it adds to the allure of enjoying a bowl of this comforting soup. Sang's Great Seafood Restaurant is a true gem in the heart of Chinatown, offering mouthwatering hot pot that will undoubtedly leave you craving for more. The warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with their flavorsome dishes, create an unforgettable dining experience. Don't miss the chance to indulge in the delicious offerings at this outstanding restaurant. Reserve your table and treat yourself to a hot pot feast that will leave you satisfied and yearning for another visit.
