Beautiful open area to practice the sport of your desire. 99% of the time it's clean. 1% of the time the parking lot is dirty and the trash cans are overflowing but that's usually after some type of gathering. Something about the place a lot of people do not know is that at night it's a great viewing area to watch meteorites. The tall trees block the surrounding lights and it's just barely far enough out of the city to wear light pollution doesn't affect it that much. Bathrooms are open 24/7 during the summer time closed during the winter. Parking is on either side of the park on 45th Street or 47th. The enormous residence that's directly next to the tennis court is loaded with top of the line security cameras with night vision and zoom in capabilities and some of them rotate. Not only do they watch the resident compound but they also overlook most of the park. So if anything were to happen more than likely it was captured on camera FYI.
Quiet park that is well maintained. It is surrounded by lots of soccer fields to the east and baseball fields to the north so on weekends its noisy.
All the sand and side walk are covered in broken glass and animal feces. There is really no equipment and the bathroom is scary.
There is 2 tennis ball courts, And a tower for kids a few swings with a bathroom and water fountain to drink
Not as nice when I was a kiddo but my kids had fun.
