Just finished a fantastic dish of haddock and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish was fresh and excellent and the chips were outstanding too. There is a good variety and portions are plenty. They offer unlimited chips for those that are very hungry so don’t worry about going hungry. Service is friendly and helpful and overall a very good and happy visit. You can both dine in the restaurant or have it to take away so the choice is yours. Will definitely come back again and have some more when I am back again.

Friendly service in a clean and well-kept takeaway setting. Option to dine in upstairs with a nominal added service fee. The fried cod was of good quality, and portion size was generous. Chips were a mixed bag of some decent plump potatoes and some cooked to a tough, flattened crisp. Part of the fish batter was also overcooked to a tough crisp. I added tartar sauce to my order and was given a thick gravy with a light brown curry sauce that was not as tasty as I would have liked.

Regularly come here for decent (although not perfect) fish suppers. There used to be a great duo who were polite. Since, it has been run by two young men who are both rude. Review was prompted by the chippy shutting half an hour early. How can I buy if the staff are that lazy?

I often visit the restaurant upstairs and am always blown away by the friendly and professional service... and to top it off the food is always cooked to perfection... today's meal was soooo good I didn't leave a crumb on the plate! Well Done Harlees, you encompass traditional Fish and Chips with a lovely atmosphere. I always recommend.

It's a weird place. You go through a take away restaurant to take a narrow stair at the back to the eat in restaurant. Once up there, we were met by a couple of women who looked like they'd really rather be anywhere else, doing anything else. We ordered, waited for the food for a long while and once we got it, we realised we'd never finish it. The grown ups in the party ordered the medium cod, the portions were huge. Our kid had the kids' menu which looked a proper adult portion. The food was good, the kid was happy for the Playmobil toy included in the meal.
