Rated 5 stars because the ladies behind the counter were amazing and so sweet! They carry mini 5in cakes that are readily available and a whole fridge of cake pop/balls and some really interesting cupcake flavors. We got a brownie chocolate, banana pudding and coconut pineapple. While the brownie was nothing to write home about, it was still a solid cupcake, and I loved the little brownie on top. The banana pudding cupcake had actual pudding on top and had an amazing (cream cheese?) icing. I wish there was maybe real banana in it but I understand that probably wouldn’t do well as far as shelf life. The really show stopper was the coconut pineapple. I cannot praise the icing enough, it was beautiful and could easily stand on its own, the cake was fluffy, and there were bits of pineapple in what seemed like a jam filling. My boyfriend and I found ourselves fighting over it. We also got a Sock it to me cake pop, which I really had no idea what flavor it was but I’m glad I took the chance. It was a delicious cinnamon blend and it’s really my style. I will definitely be back here for a 5in cake, and this coconut pineapple cupcake, which I hope also comes in a 5in cake.
The new owner’s business name is: Cake Station Express. The Owner, Mr Boatner, was extremely personable and shared info about their cakes and varieties.
I have been a patron of this bakery since it opened and have had very good experiences up until recently. This past weekend, we got banana pudding that was watery and the vanilla wafers used didn't taste like before. I thought the pudding just had not had time to set so I put it in the fridge overnight. It was still watery the next day. We also bought carrot cake cupcakes. The frosting was unusually hard. It tasted terrible as well. The cake part of the cupcake was also dry and flat (old) tasting. The usual excellent flavor was not there. I don't know if they have hired new people or changed recipes, but whatever they are doing lately is not working. I will try again, but I hope the quality returns to the 5 stars it once was.
Tried a few different cupcakes and buttermilk pie.. Yum! The buttermilk pie was so good, can't find a good one anywhere, but now this is the spot! Pecan Pie cupcake was so good and the lemon was moist and had alot of flavor! Will definitely be back.. customer service was great too, helpful and friendly!! This will be a stop of mine now!
This review is for a Too Good To Go order that I placed at this location. I ordered a bag ($18 value for $7) and my cousin who picked it up said there were just 2 cupcakes. She said they were delicious and her pickup experience was great, but $9 per cupcake sounds pretty excessive, unless the bakery is using Too Good To Go to have people pay full price which defeats the point of the concept. Either way, I’m posting this review so other folks are prepared when they decide to order from here.
