The Anchor is a delightful estate pub, bit quiet on my visit. However, most welcoming, fun, great service and a wonderful feeling about the place. A most enjoyable visit. I am happy.
Crowd is a bit 'interesting.' Staff is usually sitting outside and not paying much attention to customers. Decor is your usual pub. Drinks at reasonable prices, but there's cheaper pubs in the area.
Came in for a quick one…Clean toilets.. Lovely tables outside, pool table and the most charming manager I’ve ever met. Geoffrey was most welcoming, funny and entertaining chap. Drinks were very cold and served quickly. I can’t wait to be back and get the proper local south London experience. I highly recommend
We used the Anchor as our watering hole in the evening while taking part in Challenge 72. Absolutely loved it there, the staff are great and really friendly as were the locals. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all. It's proper old school boozer, one that we'll defiantly be returning to. On behalf of everyone on team Challenge 72 thank you for your hospitality. We'll be back (once we're allowed back out to play).
Lovely pub lots of character and friendly bar staff.
