Visited 3 times while on holiday in September really good meals on all occasions. Pie night, Sunday lunch, wanted the curry night but a mix up on social media meant it was not available, never mind always next year. 5 stars

Everything was good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was decent pub food, everything was clean. We had a nice window seat but a customer had parked their pick up right outside so view was not great. Gave the feeling that staff really making an effort!

Great little pud dog friendly good selection behind the bar and the food was really good. Beer garden is great and it had a little play are too. Well worth a visit

Brilliant food. Lovely and friendly staff. Right along the train line so can watch them go past while your waiting. Would 100 percent recommend going. My only flaw would be that we happened to go on a day where they were having some supply issues so had quite a few things missing from the menu. Other than that it was great.

A lovely place to have some real good quality food. The staff are friendly and very helpful and attentive. It is very well run with a choice of 3 or 4 ales. Ciders and lagers. As well as the usual spirits with plenty of gins to choose from too. It is located opposite the Starcross railway , from where you can get the ferry to Exmouth during the day. Car parking is opposite the pub. The views from The railway bridge are excellent too. There is a beer garden too. The quality of the Monkfish Scampi I had as a starter and the Cod Battered as a main was brilliant. The cod was an excellent fillet. Minted peas and homemade tartare sauce too, the chips were tasty too. Loved the food and it was excellent value for what you got. Will return, already booked a table for 19th September when next down. On this, above mentioned ,September return visit we had the Sunday lunch which was very tasty. Again three ales on tap and very good friendly service. Brilliant, so worth a visit and highly recommended from me too.
