Conveniently located near a multiuser (walk, ride, cycle) path. Welcoming when we were caught in the rain. Friendly helpful service, tolerant to accents. Fireplace, big screen was on music channel. So good atmosphere. Messages to discourage bad language. Tables outside are across a road, so cross with care. Disabled users entrance. Free parking. Bad reception, but free wifi. Beer was good, no ginger. I'll order food next time! It is a simple country pub, but there is a good vibe about it.

They keep a regular cask ale from Durham Brewery which is always in great nick. It's wonderful to sit outside and watch the cars drive by.

Fairly basic country pub but it's got everything you need. Good selection of beers and wine and friendly staff.
