A delight to visit this lovely pub. Well kept ales and a great menu with lots of vegetarian options. We had a wonderful evening meal and were treated to exceptional service by the friendly professional staff. A gem! ??

Poor, the menu needs modernising it's very dated and expensive. We asked if the curry was spicy as didn't say waitress didn't no and made no attempt to find out. ordered a roast turkey dinner which took a while to come considering the pub was empty. Once arrived was 2 pieces of turkey top one looks fine . The one underneath was grey and horrible looking why would you send that out of the kitchen.. very basic only one pig in blanket and needed more veg, the meal was very basic and overpriced for the local area. We didn't at any point get asked if our food was ok, we then had desserts again waitress didn't no what crumble of the day was.. and proceeded to tell us the chef had gone home?, we all paid £5 deposit and apparently pub had no record of this, the women behind the bar did take it off our bills but was all very long winded and painful. Will not be returning or recommending.

Nice old fashioned pub, really like the ambience. I ordered the veggie toad in the hole which was a little odd - just a linda McCartney sausage put into a Yorkshire pudding (after the fact). In principle it's right but not really...otherwise good and I would come back.

We were a part if 4 as soon as I saw the interior I knew it was going to be bad.Very dated pub with a very dated menu. Food took forever to be served. Over cooked vegetables, I suspect the lamb shank came for a packet. Seats very hard and uncomfortable. One of the worst pubs I've had the misfortune to visit.

I was invited to come and stay at a pub I used to go to often when I lived locally. I called and confirmed that they accepted dogs and had a fine range of beers and were still a free house. I arrive, to find they do not take dogs, (they kindly found me a nearby b&b that did) Sadly being a free house it seemed it was merely green king /Adnams. The service very friendly and kind and the staff are not responsible for the range of beers they have to sell. So sadly, I’ll never be going back.
