We were recommended to come by friends. The first mouthful of real home made steak pie took me straight back to the wonderful meals of a lady we visited when I was a child. Fifty years rolled away in a mouthful. Delicious and lunchtime atmosphere is really nice.

Usually me and my friend go to brown cow, I have autism so I always wear shorts due to sensory needs. I was wearing some long denim shorts today, like usual, and this time I wasn’t allowed in. This is only a bad review because it is completely ridiculous. I understand jogger shorts being tooo too casual but come on. Smart denim shorts should have been absolutely fine. I cannot wear trousers due to sensory problems. I should still be allowed to have a nice night out with my friend and not be discriminated against for something I cannot control. Every other time I’ve been fine so why now? Allow people with neuro disabilities to present how they’re most comfortable! I shouldn’t have to dress uncomfortable to be allowed to have a good night.

Had a lovely evening with family, the local DJ was in attendance.... with a good selection of old favourites, bar staff friendly and efficient and a prompt service.

What great little pub, six of us sat down to a good choice menu and it did not disappoint, the food was excellent and served by staff who very helpful and friendly. We will most certainly be back. Highly recommended.
