So many great things can't list them all. Wonderful varied menu choices; American, Venezuelan, Mexican, Indian, middle eastern, vegetarian and vegan. Food is delicious and perfectly prepared. Beautiful presentation. Service is great. Prices reasonable. Servings generous. Healthy, nutrition rich options.
Just left "The Chef Restaurant", and had to write a review. It was an amazing experience, from beginning to end. The staff were very attentive and let us know their concept was to serve healthy fresh food. We tried infused fruit water, smoothies, homemade yucca chips and guacamole, fried avocado slices, grilled salmon with cauliflower rice and roasted broccolini, rotisserie chicken with Quinoa salad and roasted vegetables, and chicken avocado arepas (similar to sliced egg rolls made with rolled four). Thank you Chef Roberto and staff for a great father's day meal.
Chef Mendoza has brought his renown and flair for fresh ingredients (and knowledge of their benefits) to The Chef Restaurant in Concord and it is BRILLIANT. Abraham, my server, was efficient and attentive without hovering. He made sure my dining experience was perfectly timed. The appetizer of fresh asparagus and homemade pesto was a li'l bit of heaven served with juicy morsels of fresh citrus and apples. The açai juice was perfectly chilled and not too sweet--a healthy way to beat the heat. My main course, the salmon, was a veritable cornucopia of textures and flavors, a hint of curry giving the fish a familiar kick, while the crisp steamed greens evened it beautifully. For dessert, I treated myself to the poached pear with a scoop of rich vanilla, garnished with a syrup-dipped blossom for looks and taste. Polish it all off with a house-brewed Americano, rich and dark, and I'm fully sated and thrilled to have found this gem so close to home. Thank you, Chef and staff, for a wonderful evening of dining.
