We had a delicious Carvery again today with our family, cooked to perfection, had to indulge in a dessert too and again our choices were super yummy. Best roast dinner we’ve had in ages.

Food was really good. Had, home made Scotch egg starter, the steak, ale and blue cheese pie served with seasonal veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding (part of Sunday menu) and the Creme Brulee. Highlights were the pie itself lots of steak and a lovely rich flavour and the roast potatoes were excellent, crispy, well seasoned and fluffy inside. 2 local guest cask ales were on from Pumphouse community brewery in nearby Toppesfield (oktoberfest style ale) and from Nethergate brewery in Long Melford ( a red ale for Halloween) Food again is great and worth the price. Staff were friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. Nice to see the pub back open. Will return.

Lovely pub with very comfy, cozy areas. Stopped there after a long walk but didn't eat as we were too late. They serve Sunday roast until 15:30......

We had the most enjoyable Sunday roast... The service was superb and great family atmosphere, the attention on the decor made us smile... it was a joy to stop and just enjoy it all... Thank you.

The wife and I had Sunday carvery, great home cooked food, service was great as was the price we will definitely be returning!!!! I recommend that you book though.
