Lovely traditional pub with some of the best beers you'll ever get, don't think they do food hence the none stars rating and it was really quiet because we were there just after work
A special find for Newcomers, & a friendly nest for Regulars; slightly off the beaten track, with a great selection of very well kept Real Ales, run by lovely people. Just moments off the main A610 Awsworth.
This Pub has been constantly improving and is in the fifth stage of renovation. It's a friendly pub where everyone talks to each other and has a strict no swearing policy. The beers are from local breweries in Derbyshire, Notts, Yorkshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. They are always fresh. No sooner a barrell is put on and it's all gone within a day or two. There is fresh food of a simple fare, ask for a ham or cheese cob,(bread cake) and it will be made up freshly. They also sell pork pies supplied locally and they are very tasty , especially with a pint of good real ale.excellent quality ales.
Realy nice pub realy well run absolutely well looked after with the best Beers and welcoming atmosphere in and out .like the local pub used to be. Those who are making this possible should be commended.
This has been a traditional pub for many years. The current owners Steve and Kim have spent a lot of time upgrading the building and outside areas. The area at fhe front is now a lovely seating area. The toilets have been relocated and the front room is now a light bright space. Always a good range of draught beers and lagers on tap. The pub has won many awards for its beers.
