You've dog friendly and "??DOG-Friendly??". They absolutely love dogs here. The entire staff came to greet the dog and to cuddle him. They gave him a big bowl of cheese, which hey absolutely loves. Food was proper and authentic as you might expect. Definitely a place to go and bring your dog and enjoy a lunch!

Went for lunch here today and had reason to return my food as there was a long black hair in it. I pointed it out to one of the staff who took the food back to the kitchen. A few minutes later the chef/owner came out to our table and asked who had returned the food. I said it was me and told him the reason for returning it. Rather than apologising the chef said he could assure me that the food had not left his kitchen with a hair in it. I asked him to look at the 5 of us sat at the table who are all on our 60’s with light hair so it could not have come from one of us. Again he said that he hadn’t sent it to me like that and basically called me a liar, he then promptly left. There was absolutely no reason for him to speak to me in this manner. He was very confrontational and his voice was raised. This all happened in the middle of his restaurant during a busy lunchtime service. I was very upset about being spoken to like this and will never return to this place. I wouldn’t normally leave a negative review as I would prefer to resolve any concerns at the time but I feel the attitude of the chef leaves a lot to be desired. I was not asking for a replacement meal or compensation in any form. An apology would have been sufficient.

Terrific little gem. Great place to eat fresh food, great service and very pleasant. Our server was great but did not get the chance to thank her except by tip. Locals friendly and talkative. The cakes were enjoyable by the children. I loved the IPA. It is also dog friendly. Thank you and see you again.

Lovely, local cafe. Food and coffee is really good. The sandwiches are always of a good standard and the veggie breakfast is lovely. Very dog friendly, they give them food and lots of attention which is nice to see. The team there is always friendly and provides great service.

Had lunch there today. Waitress explained they were busy, but still we waited about an hour to receive food. Another table queried as to when they would receive their food. When out comes the chef (owner) and basically abuses them. When our food at last arrived one dish was foud to have a long dark hair amongst the chips after returning it to the waitress and explaining she didn't require a replacement. Lo and behold out comes the chef again and basically accused my friend of putting the hair there herself she tried to explain that if wasn't one of us as we are all blonde. He told her the customer is always right except when they are wrong. No apology just more abuse. The look on people's faces. Spoke volumes. We won't be returning .
